Verydarkman explained that the situation escalated due to the audio clip he shared involving popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky. The audio implicated both the Nigerian Correctional Service and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to VDM, despite receiving offers from various sources to remain silent on the issue, including financial offers of up to N100 million, he is commited to advocating for the masses and standing up against oppression.

VDM emphasized his goal of empowering more Nigerian youth to speak out for themselves and others who are oppressed. Therefore, he opened a new Instagram page where he would use as a backup account for his videos.
